Obi wan

So. Today was a strange day. I only had one thing to do today, and it was on campus at 2 pm. I don't live near campus, so I have to take a 25 minute bus ride. I don't mind the bus, but it seemed like kind of a waste to spend a whole hour traveling to and from campus just for the one thing I had to do. Oh well, c'est la vie. At least I got to sleep in (until 10!) and had a chance to make myself a decent breakfast (eggs and Tabasco sauce).

I decided to give the glasses another shot, in case my bad face day was a fluke. I still think I look a little washed out, but I think a nice dark cranberry lipstick might help. What do you think?

I'm wearing:
Teal v-neck l/s tee: thrifted
Navy ribbed tank: Old Navy
Purple scarf (as obi belt): mom's, one time childhood dress-up clothes
Skinnies: Forever XXI
Grey boots: thrifted

I gave myself a haircut today. I'm growing my hair out, and it's too risky to go to a hairstylist because:
a) it's crazy expensive
b) they will probably cut too much
c) no one knows what to do with hair like mine anyway

So in the shower, I combed my hair out and trimmed off the knotted/splitting ends. I part my hair on my right, so that more hair is on the left, so I trimmed my left front side a little extra to give myself a bit of a bang. It's not really bangs, I guess it's more like layering, but if it's shorter, it floofs up a little more and gives me some extra volume.

Ugh. I can't wait for my Tsubos to get here. They've already been shipped. These cowboy boots are like, "Stop wearing us, damn it. We're TIRED."

Young hearts be free tonight

I won the auction on those Tsubo Acreas! Yes, ladies, I paid $27 for a pair of Tsubo Acreas.

I have realized something serious about my life. These glasses are not flattering on me, at all. The color makes my face look washed out. I need some new glasses. Too bad, because these ones are very cute. So please, excuse my bad face day. Blame the specs.

Today it rained and I spent about 6 hours in a freezing cold computer lab working on an infuriating programming assignment. Not to mention that yesterday I had worked on it for 6 hours or so. FML

I'm wearing:
Black, white, and gray patterned top: New York & Co, thrifted
Light blue ribbed tank: Old Navy
Skinnies: Forever XXI
Black rain boots: Nine West
Horrible complexion: Dumb pink glasses

You're my satellite

Who likes John Cusack? I DO! He was in the movie "Martian Child", which was adorable and touching and where I found out about the band Guster.

I wore this outfit to see 2012 with Beardy. I liked the movie for its action and John Cusack factor, not really for the story. I actually thought its ending was too hopeful. It's an apocalypse film, and I wanted to see some DOOM.

I'm wearing:
Brown/white burnout scoopneck: Wet Seal?
Brown v-neck tunic/vest: Forever XXI
Straight leg jeans: Delia*s
Turquoise stilettos: Volunteers of America thrift store
Hotness: parents

Guys. I'm about to win an auction on a pair of Tsubo Acreas for less than $30. Sal would be proud. Don't outbid me!
